Refund & Cancellation Policy
When a refund applies, and how to cancel a recurring subscription at any time.
In short: Mali Circle plans are recurring subscriptions paid by UPI AutoPay. Refunds are made only where a payment has gone wrong — a failed transaction, a duplicate payment or an incorrect amount — and those are processed through Razorpay, our payment gateway. You can stop a subscription at any time by cancelling the AutoPay mandate with your own bank or UPI app.
1. Scope
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all payments made to Mali Circle for its optional subscription plans, whether started in the Mali Circle mobile application or through the malicircle.com website. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
2. Nature of our services
Mali Circle sells digital services only. There are no physical goods and nothing is shipped — see our Shipping & Delivery Policy. Paid features are delivered electronically to your account and activate immediately after a successful payment.
Our plans are recurring subscriptions, not one-time purchases. When you subscribe, you authorise a UPI AutoPay mandate in your own UPI or bank app. The subscription then renews automatically at the end of each period, and each renewal is debited under that mandate, until you cancel it. The plan name, the amount in Indian Rupees (INR ₹) and the renewal interval are shown to you in the app before you authorise the mandate, and your bank or UPI provider sends you a pre-debit notification before each renewal.
3. When a refund is made
A refund is made in the following three situations, and in these situations only:
| Situation | What we refund |
|---|---|
| Failed transaction — money is debited from your account but the payment does not succeed, or the plan does not activate | The full amount |
| Duplicate payment — you are charged more than once for the same plan and the same period | Every extra charge, in full |
| Incorrect amount — you are charged more than the amount you authorised for that plan | The excess amount, in full |
These refunds are identified and processed through Razorpay, our payment gateway, and are credited back to the original payment method used for the transaction. They are usually reversed automatically and reach your account within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank. Refunds cannot be made to a different account, card or UPI ID.
If a payment of one of these three kinds has not been reversed within 7 working days, write to malicircle.support@gmail.com or call +91 92098 04195 with your registered mobile number and the transaction or UTR reference, and we will take it up with the gateway on your behalf. We acknowledge such messages within 48 hours.
4. When a refund is not available
Outside the three situations above, subscription payments are not refundable. In particular, no refund is due:
- if you change your mind, or simply decide to stop using a plan;
- for any part of a subscription period that you have not used — we do not make partial or proportionate refunds of any kind;
- if a renewal is debited because the AutoPay mandate was not cancelled in time — please cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date;
- if you do not achieve an outcome that is outside our control, such as not finding a suitable match, not receiving business enquiries, or not being selected for a job;
- if you delete your Mali Circle account during a paid period — deletion also ends the plan, and the remaining period is forfeited (see section 9.4 of our Privacy Policy);
- if your account is suspended or terminated for breaching our Terms & Conditions, including fake profiles, harassment or fraudulent listings.
5. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel at any time, and you do not need our permission or assistance to do it.
- Cancel the AutoPay mandate with your own payment provider. Open your UPI app or bank app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, your bank's app and so on), go to AutoPay / Mandates / Subscriptions, find the Mali Circle mandate, and pause or cancel it.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date so that the next debit is not attempted.
- Cancellation stops all future debits. It does not refund the period you have already paid for: your paid features continue until that period ends and then stop, and your free community access continues as normal.
- If a plan began with a free trial, cancel the mandate before the trial ends if you do not wish the subscription to start.
If you have any difficulty cancelling with your provider, contact us and we will guide you through it.
6. Failed renewals
If a renewal debit does not go through — for example, because the mandate was cancelled, the balance was insufficient or the mandate expired — the paid features simply pause until a payment succeeds. Nothing is owed by you, and your free access to the community features is not affected.
7. Cancellation by Mali Circle
If we withdraw a paid service for reasons that are not your fault, we will stop further billing and refund any amount you have paid for a period that we are unable to provide.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe a debit is wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank. Most payment issues are resolved within 48 hours once we have the transaction reference. If you are not satisfied with our response, write to us with the subject line “Grievance” and our Grievance Officer will review the matter personally and reply within 15 days.
